{"id":417,"date":"2017-08-29T15:57:13","date_gmt":"2017-08-29T14:57:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/laestrelladeljamon.es\/blog\/?p=417"},"modified":"2019-06-19T13:41:11","modified_gmt":"2019-06-19T12:41:11","slug":"la-estrella-del-jamon-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/laestrelladeljamon.es\/blog\/en\/la-estrella-del-jamon-2\/","title":{"rendered":"LA ESTRELLA DEL JAM\u00d3N"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome!<\/p>\n<p>This is the blog for \u00abLa estrella del jam\u00f3n\u00bb, a commercial slogan\u00a0that will soon swell the ranks of brands from Mariano G\u00f3mez, S.A. and Jamones Sierra Palomera, S.L.<\/p>\n<p>More than 40 years ago, the G\u00f3mez family grandfather, along with his son, founded the company that bore his name, Mariano G\u00f3mez, devoted to making ham. <!--more-->It has a natural drying facility in Fuendetodos (Zaragoza), Goya&#8217;s birthplace, in the foothills of a mountain range standing 750 metres above sea level, and another in Cuarte de Huerva (Zaragoza), where as well as curing ham, the administration and all product sales are based.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone \" src=\"http:\/\/laestrelladeljamon.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/secaderoFuendetodos.jpg\" width=\"346\" height=\"226\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In 1995,\u00a0we decided to start producing Teruel Ham with a Protected Denomination of Origin in a newly-built natural drying facility in Monreal del Campo (Teruel). Although the family actually owns the drying facility, this ham has been sold for years under the Sierra Lind\u00f3n brand, belonging to Jamones Sierra Palomera, S.L.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone \" src=\"http:\/\/laestrelladeljamon.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/secaderoMonreal.jpg\" width=\"346\" height=\"245\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Two companies, one family&#8230; it was difficult for consumers to understand that hams by Mariano G\u00f3mez and by Sierra Palomera (Sierra Lind\u00f3n as a commercial brand) were made by the same family and, more importantly, in the same way. Consequently, from 2015, we brought out a new image with a slogan to identify us as a single brand with different types of ham. Mariano G\u00f3mez will continue making A\u00f1ejo and A\u00f1ejo Reserva and Jamones Sierra Palomera will add to the well-known D.O.P.
